Never too far away…

You could never be too far away for God’s love to reach you. Never.

End post. Just kidding, but really we need the simpleness of the above truth to set in our bones.

There is never a thought, action, or circumstance in the past, present, or future  that could take you out of reach of God’s love and grace.

We can make choices that separate us from the grace that God is pouring on us, we can turn our backs, deny his name, and refuse our calling, but reconciliation is always available to us. God is already there ready to extend forgiveness if you only turn to ask. God is all about the unbelievable comebacks.

If shame, fear, or guilt are the only things keeping you from communion with God, hear today the word’s of Christ.

“’Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.’”Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭NABRE‬‬

And the Father’s reminder to Jacob

“But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, Jacob, and formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:1‬ ‭NABRE‬‬

‭‭Take a second and read those two verses again, slow, focusing on each word and sentence.

He can and wants to meet you where you are. He desires to bring redemption in even the worst circumstances. Just look at the seemingly hopeless suffering of the cross on Good Friday. If God can make not only good, but supreme greatness from this, he can do so in our lives too.

All throughout history we have seen God give help to the helpless, hope to the hopeless, and direction to the directionless. It is not about whether you are worthy or not, because truth be told none of us are. Rely rather on the vastness of God’s mercy.
When you doubt, take courage, the kingdom is big enough for you. Come, take rest in the creator’s arms.
